Context before text
Before any opinion is drafted, we establish what you actually want to reach: a relationship to build, a risk to contain, or an obligation to end. The text serves that aim; it does not replace it.
About
The law, the parties, the market, and relationships that cross borders — four levels considered together before any step is proposed.
The approach
Sound advice does not begin with an isolated clause; it begins with understanding the relationship that is to be built or protected.
Many of the matters that reach a lawyer are not purely legal disputes. They are commercial decisions whose right questions were never asked in time: who is the counterparty? What is lost if the agreement stalls? What alternative exists if it never closes?
So the work begins by ordering the picture rather than by drafting. We identify the parties and their interests, the market they operate in, and the obligations that will outlive the conversation. Only then does the legal text become an accurate reflection of an understood agreement, rather than a linguistic cover over an ambiguity nobody resolved.
Where more than one jurisdiction or more than one culture of dealing is involved, that ordering matters more, not less: what goes without saying in one market may need to be stated expressly in another.
Working principles
Not marketing slogans, but practical rules that determine how an opinion is prepared and how it is spoken about.
Before any opinion is drafted, we establish what you actually want to reach: a relationship to build, a risk to contain, or an obligation to end. The text serves that aim; it does not replace it.
A long memorandum is not evidence of depth. We deliver a summary that reads in minutes and keep the detail for whoever needs it, when they need it.
We state plainly the difference between a documented fact, available information, professional judgement, and the unknown. A sound decision requires knowing the limits of the information.
Most commercial matters are resolved by a well-prepared conversation before they need an adversary. We prepare for escalation; we do not open with it.
Professional background

No qualification, position or professional relationship is published on this page before it has been verified against a reliable source. The extended biography — education, years in practice, and accredited specialisations — will be added once that documentation is complete, and is withheld for no other reason.
The firm
1999Founded in Amman
Zaha Law Firm was established in Amman in 1999 with a stated purpose from its first day: to form a generation of lawyers whose work rests on active practice, serving the needs of individuals and of business rather than one at the expense of the other.
Over those years the work grew into two complementary lines: legal advisory, and business information with a reading of counterparty risk. Both serve the same question from opposite sides — the first orders the obligation, the second tells you who you are taking it on with.
A partner who moves before the problem, not after it.
We address the legal matters companies and individuals meet on the way to their commercial and personal aims, with local experience and international service standards. The commitment is specific: clear follow-up, transparency about the course of a proceeding and its likely duration, and attention to the file proportionate to what is on the table.
Transparency raises trust between parties.
When a company can see a clear picture of the opportunities and risks in front of it, co-operation becomes possible and decisions rest on something. Our work here is turning scattered information from lawfully available sources into an ordered reading that supports a better decision — not into a numerical rating, and not into a judgement on anyone.
Visits by prior appointment. It helps to open with a short message describing the matter, so that the right channel and time can be set before you travel.
Next step
A short message setting out the subject and the parties is enough to establish whether this is the right place to help, and what the first practical step would be.
